The Conductors
Anna Tabita Abeleda-Piquero translates the essential elements of choral music into a fun language for choristers through engaging exercises and parlour games that only singing musicians can play. These energetic and involving activities can be used to begin rehearsals, enliven workshops, or simply turn up the heat at choir parties!
An internationally awarded choral arranger, Anna has been artistic director of the Eastern Chamber Singers, University of Asia and the Pacific Chorale and Koro Ilustrado. She has also conducted the Busan Metropolitan Chorus, Asian Youth Choir and Indonesian Youth Choir. The founder of national festivals in Manila and Cebu, Anna is a member and former artistic board member of the Philippine Choral Directors’ Association.
Edmund "Sir Jong" Piquero Jr. has taught various church, community, school, government and private company choirs in his 28-year choral experience.
